South End Vision Tour

July 27, 2017

NarmourWright attended the South End Vision Tour at Triple C Brewing’s new Barrel Room on July 25, 2017. Hundreds crowded into Triple C Brewery in hopes to see what South End will become in the near future. The vision tour guided attendees through the future of South End’s development and highlighted the tools and policies needed to get there. The vision: “South End is a people-first, walkable urban district of vibrant neighborhoods, built on transit, and fueled with energy and innovation from some of Charlotte’s most diverse and creative people.” The information was presented with high energy and excitement. Bluz, a local slam master and Emmy Award Winning Poet began the event with a poem about South End. A South End Quiz also energized the event by quizzing local business owners about South End and presenting the winning team with $500 towards the charity of their choice.

An outline of the Vision Plan’s goals, objectives and initiatives are shown below.

Goals Values

Priority Focus Areas

South End has always been a large part of our company’s identity. NarmourWright was involved in many pioneer projects crucial to the first South End boom decades ago that helped contribute to its unique identity. We have also been a South End resident for over 20 years and have witnessed first-hand the changes in the Charlotte landscape and continued development. Big things can be expected within this thriving district and we are excited to see the growth and vibrancy yet to come with this next initiative. We are excited to be a part of the continued growth of our beloved South End.
